This makes 13 fires in the homeless illegal camping area of the Parkway (Discovery Park to Cal Expo) since July 29th.

An excerpt.

Fire crews are responding to a two-alarm grass fire along the American River Parkway that is pushing large amounts of smoke into the air.

Video from LiveCopter3 showed crews battling the blaze and smoke filling up an area along the parkway just east of Northgate Boulevard.

The fire is burning among tall trees and also creeping closer toward power lines.

Crews described the location of the fire at mile marker 3 west of Cal Expo.
