Water, Water, Everywhere

Except being stored in the yet to be built Auburn Dam, and it is somewhat crazy to have gushers of water being released from Folsom when the current rainfall season to date March 24, 2016) is only 14.90” while the normal to date is 17.06” (figures from the March 24, 2016 Sacramento Bee, p. 8b)

If we had a normal rainfall season we would be releasing even more water from Folsom, all of which is a reminder of the necessity of building the Auburn Dam.

We have a published research report from 2006 covering this issue which is still relevant: The American River Parkway: Protecting its Integrity & Providing Water for the River Running Through It; A Report on the Auburn Dam Policy Environment.
