Parkway Fires

From KCRA 3 News.

An excerpt.

“Crews are battling two fires along the American River Parkway on Wednesday.

“The first fire sparked south of Cal Expo around 8:22 p.m. It burned an unknown amount of land and did not pose a serious threat to any nearby structures, the Sacramento Fire Department said.

“A second alarm was triggered for this first fire, which means additional crew and equipment were deployed to the fire.

“The fire near Cal Expo was contained around 9:30 p.m. and burned about 20 acres, the fire department said.

“There is a second fire burning along Cadillac Drive near Spanos Court. The fire department said a fire in that area had embers spread that sparked other small spot fires nearby.”
